Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji expressed her heartfelt gratitude as her film Black received an outpouring of love following its recent release on OTT platform Netflix. The movie directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, featured Rani Mukerji alongside veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan. Celebrating its 19th anniversary, Black continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

Since its arrival on the digital streaming platform, Rani Mukerji has been inundated with messages of appreciation and adoration from fans across the globe. Reflecting on the overwhelming response, Rani shared her thoughts, expressing gratitude for the love showered upon the film even two decades after its release.

In a statement, Rani Mukerji shared, “It is overwhelming and hugely gratifying to see that Black is receiving so much love from the audience even after 19 years, with its OTT release. The film holds a very special place in my filmography. The experience of working with legendary Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and being directed by my favourite filmmaker of all times Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is something that will stay with me forever.”

Expressing her joy at the film’s availability on Netflix, Rani emphasized the significance of reaching a broader audience. She further added, “I am glad that the film is out on Netflix and all those who missed watching the magic of Black in theatres when it released 19 years ago, will be able to witness it, on their screens. It is always humbling to see your work reach a wider audience.”
