Actor Ranbir Kapoor has always been Bollywood’s heartthrob. In a career spanning over one and a half decade, Ranbir has steadily moved up the ladder of success. In the year 2022, he was in the headlines constantly for various reasons including the release of his much-awaited film Brahmastra, and his wedding with actress Alia Bhatt. Kapoor started the New Year with a bang as the audience is excited for his next, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. However, amid the hype of his upcoming film, the actor has left netizens shocked as in a viral video; he can be seen throwing away a fan’s phone.

For the unversed, popular pap Viral Bhayani shared a video of the Wake Up Sid actor on Friday. In the video, Ranbir can be seen surrounded by paps. A fan also joined the bandwagon and came forward to click a couple of selfies with the actor. After smiling for a few photos with the fan, Ranbir requests the fan to show him pictures. As soon as the fan gives his phone to the actor, the latter throws it away leaving everyone befuddled.

In no time, hundreds of netizens reacted to the video. While a section of them was disappointed, a few speculated it to be a marketing gimmick. “He wants to get him a better phone,” joked a fan while another commented, “It’s a phone commercial come on guys / Everything is not sensational.” Meanwhile, a third user wrote, “Big people only have money, not heart.”

Coming to the professional front, as mentioned earlier, Ranbir is currently busy with promotions of TJMM. The forthcoming rom-com also stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead. Besides them, the Luv Ranjan directorial will mark the acting debut of producer Boney Kapoor and stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi. It is slated to release on March 8, 2023.
