Actor Ranbir Kapoor offered fans a glimpse into his personal life and style philosophy during a recent rapid-fire chat with Vogue India. From his morning routine with wife Alia Bhatt and their daughter to fashion advice and what to wear at a Kapoor family dinner, the actor kept it honest and refreshingly simple.
Asked about the first five things he does after waking up, Ranbir shared a heartwarming routine. “I kiss my wife, I rush down to my daughter's room, I try and steal some cuddles but she's usually very restless in the morning. I have my black coffee, plan my day and eat my breakfast.”
ARKS Essentials and Style Mantras
Speaking about his clothing brand ARKS, Ranbir listed four wardrobe essentials every man should own: “A white tee, fitted jeans and a white sneaker and a nice cap.” However, he was quick to clarify one of his fashion preferences, saying he is “not a big fan of wearing sneakers with Indian wear,” adding with a laugh that he “can’t promote this.”
On the best-dressed person he knows, Ranbir credited his mother, calling her his ultimate style inspiration. When it comes to style advice he’s received from men in his life, the actor highlighted three key lessons: “Underdressed is better than being overdressed. Simplicity, comfort over luxury. Fit is extremely important.”
Kapoor Dinner Dressing 101
Ranbir also shared practical advice for attending a Kapoor family dinner — known for its lavish spreads. “I guess white because there's so much of food. Always stay in your clothes. Nothing too tight because you're going to eat a lot so loose pants and a loose t-shirt,” he said, hinting at the indulgent culinary traditions the Kapoor household is famous for.
When asked to give a title to his biography, Ranbir chose a single, understated word: “Artist.”
