Ranbir Kapoor gets emotional after Mahesh Bhatt calls him ‘world’s best father’ : Bollywood News

Ranbir Kapoor, who is gearing up for the release of his highly-anticipated entertainer Animal, was recently seen as the guest judge on the singing reality Indian Idol for promotions, where he was in for a special surprise. His father-in-law Mahesh Bhatt sent him a beautiful message, wishing him luck for his film as well as left him emotional, when he addressed him as ‘world’s best father’. Mahesh not only described the love Ranbir has for his and Alia Bhatt’s one-year-old daughter Raha Kapoor but also expressed his pride over having a son-in-law like the Kapoor boy.

Mahesh Bhatt, who is known to speak his heart out, sent across an emotional message for his son-in-law Ranbir Kapoor which made the latter teary-eyed. In the message, Bhatt said, “Alia, jisko main miracle manta hoon (whom I consider a miracle), says Ranbir is one of the best actors in our country. But main Ranbir ko duniya ka sabse behtareen baap maanta hoon (I consider him as the world’s best father).

The filmmaker went on to add, “Jab woh Raha ko dekhta hai, kaash uske aankhon ka expression aap uss waqt dekh paaye. Unki maataji Neetu kehti hain, ‘Aisa pyaar toh maa karti hai apni bachiyo se jo Ranbir karta hai Raha se’ (When he sees Raha, I wish you could see his eyes at that time. His mother Neetu says, ‘it is the kind of love a mother has for her child, the way Ranbir looks at his daughter). I’m proud I have a son-in-law like Ranbir."

While Ranbir was left surprised with the immense appreciation coming his way, the actor was left overwhelmed by these comments as he went on to confess that Bhatt saab has never told any of this to his face and expressed gratitude towards the music reality show. Ranbir responded saying, “He has never said such things to me in person. So thank you Indian Idol for this. I have been passed by my father-in-law.”

Animal is expected to release on December 1 in all South languages as well as in Hindi. On the other hand, Indian Idol airs on Sony Television on Saturdays and Sundays at 8 pm.
