With many actors taking up varied ways like yoga and other forms of exercise to retain a healthy and fit lifestyle, even veteran stars, despite their age, are ready to take the efforts in order maintain their health. One amongst them is Rakesh Roshan who continues to follow a fitness regime and is quite enthusiastic about it.

From long walks to weight training, the veteran star revealed that he works out almost two hours every day. He divides his time between the two, dedicating approximately one hour for each of the regimes. Although he is not upset about the elongated process, Rakesh is happy about his dedication. He reduced about 11 kgs in eight to nine months.

Furthermore, Rakesh Roshan also mentioned that he credits his upbringing for helping him maintain this lifestyle. The actor has been following exercise regimes since his childhood as he was in a boarding school. He also explained about learning various activities that included horse riding, swimming and other sports. But that is not all. The filmmaker-producer beamed with pride about a family who too enjoys working out with him.

According to Rakesh Roshan, his son Hrithik Roshan, his daughter Sunaina and even his granddaughter Suranika [daughter of Sunaina] all love working out. They own a mini gym in their residence where he often works out with his granddaughter. Besides that, he also thanked his son Hrithik Roshan who often helps his father during his workout sessions and sometimes even instructs the trainer accordingly especially when he feels that something is not working.

On the other hand, Rakesh Roshan goes out of his way to maintain a fit lifestyle by following a strict schedule of eating dinner at 7pm, sleeping by 11pm as well as rising up early. He also keeps an eye on his diet where he avoids carbs and stays away from protein supplements but instead consume rich in protein diet from vegetables and other natural sources.
