Netflix’s Sacred Games became one of the first Hindi shows to attain fame in the country and abroad. It mainly starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan with Pankaj Tripathi chipping in in the second season. Apart from the edgy and thrilling content, the show is also spoken about for actress Rajshri Deshpande’s bold and intimate scenes. The actress recently said that it upsets her to know that that scene is still being discussed after she spoke about it in an interview despite doing a lot more work and being involved in many social welfare projects.

In an interview with Free Press Journal, Rajshri said, “Everyone wants to talk about it. They don't want to know anything else. I speak a lot about farmers and social issues. I have done other interesting work too, but nobody wants to talk about those characters or headline them. It’s wrong. I think the media is at fault here because they constantly publish such kind of content. I spoke about so many other things in the same interview, but no one wrote about that. This is something which the other actresses also face. I feel very bad.”

Rajshri is currently excited for her Marathi movie Satyashodhak, which released in theatres today. Directed by Nilesh Jalamkar, the film sees her in the role of Savitribai Phule while Sandeep Kulkarni plays Mahatma Jyotirao Phule.

Rajshri also has the Hindi movie Privacy in the pipeline. Directed by Sudeep Kanwal, the movie sees her play a cop who keeps a watch on CCTV footages in the city of Mumbai. The movie had its world premiere last year at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) in South Korea.
