Salman Khan is not only one of India’s biggest superstars but also known for his generous and protective nature within the industry. However, that very trait was recently misinterpreted, sparking rumours around his relationship with fellow actor Rajat Bedi. These speculations stemmed from earlier comments made by Rajat, which have now been clarified by the actor himself.
Rajat Bedi recently addressed rumours that suggested Salman Khan had removed him from the 2021 action film Radhe. The misunderstanding arose after Rajat mentioned in an old interview that Salman had advised him against accepting a particular role in the film. While the comment was intended to highlight Salman’s genuine concern, it was taken out of context and misreported by several media outlets.
Speaking in a new interview, Rajat set the record straight: “Wrong information, all wrong information! Salman bhai loves me. He has immense respect for me and my family — I come from a third-generation film background. He even loves my son. I love Bhai. Please stop spreading this false narrative.” He then explained what actually happened behind the scenes: “Bhai’s production team had called me for Radhe. When Salman bhai found out which role I was being considered for, he said, ‘You shouldn’t do this role, beta. I’ll offer you something better.’ There was no negativity at all. Bhai was simply looking out for me. He wanted to protect me and my career.”
Rajat also expressed gratitude for the long-standing relationship his family shares with Salman Khan and his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan.
“Salman bhai and Salim saab have always shown great respect towards my family. We've shared a warm bond over the years.”
