Rajat Barmecha calls filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane ‘family’; says, “He has always been that since day one of Udaan” : Bollywood News

Rajat Barmecha, who won hearts as a teenager in Udaan, opened up about the critically-acclaimed film, which released on July 16, 2010. The film marked Vikramaditya Motwane’s directorial debut as well as the first Bollywood gig for Barmecha. And ever since then the two of them have been inseparable. A few days ago Rajat shared a hilarious throwback picture with him and recently the actor opened about his ‘family-kind’ of bond with the filmmaker.

Talking about his relationship with filmmakers, Rajat said, "I love my directors, I have a very special bond with every director I work with. As an actor, I like to spend most amount of my prep time for any of my character with my director as it gives me a lot to clarity and comfort. But there is always some sort of a professional line that I draw".

Elaborating on his personal equation with Vikramaditya Motwane, Rajat added, "There are people I love professionally but with Vikram it’s a completely different story. He’s family! He has always been that since day one of Udaan and the bond we share is very special. We have experienced certain feelings and emotions during our debut movie that no matter how much we work we’ll never feel or experience again. Vikram is and will always be my most favourite director and he’ll always be someone I love dearly".

On the professional front, Rajat Barmecha will be seen in Kacchey Limbu, alongside Radhika Madan. The film is produced by Jio Studios. On the other hand, Vikramaditya Motwane is currently basking in the success of Jubilee, a popular Hindi web show that is set during the Indian Independence era.
