On the occasion of Maha Shivratri, Raashii Khanna shared a devotional rendition of the bhajan ‘Shiv Kailashon Ke Waasi’, offering it as a prayer to Lord Shiva. The actor took to social media to post the performance, describing it as a project that has been close to her heart.
In her caption, Raashii wrote, “On this divine day, I offer Shiv Kailashon Ke Waasi as my prayer to Mahadev, sung from a place of faith, surrender, and gratitude. A dream close to my heart, I share it with you as an offering, with the hope that it brings calm, strength, and blessings. Har Har Mahadev.”
The bhajan is a traditional invocation of Mahadev, who is believed to reside in Mount Kailash and symbolises inner awakening and transcendence. Shared on Maha Shivratri — a festival associated with spiritual reflection and devotion — the composition carried added significance. Raashii’s rendition is understated, with a focus on simplicity and emotional restraint rather than elaborate production, aligning with the devotional tone of the occasion.

Known primarily for her work across Tamil, Telugu and Hindi cinema, Raashii’s musical offering came as a surprise to some fans who are more familiar with her on-screen performances. By sharing the bhajan in her own voice, the actor chose to mark the festival in a personal way, stepping briefly away from her film commitments.
On the professional front, Raashii has a busy slate ahead. She is set to appear in an untitled project alongside Akshay Kumar, as well as Ustaad Bhagat Singh opposite Pawan Kalyan. She is also part of Farzi 2 featuring Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi, Talakhon Mein Ek with Vikrant Massey, and the thriller Bridge co-starring R. Madhavan.
With her Maha Shivratri post, however, Raashii chose to focus on devotion, sharing a musical prayer that resonated with the spirit of the festival.
