Priyanka Chopra, who completed ten years in the US as an actor this September, recently looked back on her professional journey across Bollywood and Hollywood. What began with her American television debut in Quantico has since expanded into high-profile projects, including global series like Citadel and major films such as Heads of State. Despite her growing international presence, Priyanka believes her most diverse work still lies in Indian cinema.

Speaking with news agency PTI from Los Angeles, the actor compared her filmographies and shared her aspirations for the future. She said, “If you look at my Hindi filmography or Indian filmography, there's a lot more variety than I have been able to achieve in my international work. I'm hoping to be able to create diversity and to be able to do really interesting work in my English language work as well, like I did in my Bollywood films. So there's a lot more growth that I'm hoping for to achieve there. I'm still quite early in my growth in Hollywood.”

Priyanka's journey in entertainment began after she won Miss World 2000 at age 18, which paved the way for her film debut in 2003. She quickly rose to prominence with notable performances in Andaz, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Aitraaz, and Fashion. By the 2010s, she had firmly established herself as one of Bollywood’s leading female stars before shifting focus to Hollywood in 2016.

Reflecting on her current phase, she added, “But I'm in a really interesting place where I have an amazing opportunity to work with different kinds of filmmakers from all around the world. And I'm grabbing that with both hands.”

In Hollywood, Priyanka has taken on supporting roles in Baywatch and The Matrix Resurrection, while also leading projects like Quantico, Citadel, and Heads of State. She is now set to make her return to Indian cinema in 2027 with SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, co-starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran—marking her first Indian release in eight years.
