Priyanka Chopra Jonas has grabbed the spotlight with her statements and actions several times. She has established herself as a versatile and talented actress with a significant fan following worldwide. Recently, Priyanka made a notable revelation that caught the attention of many. She opened up about why she never learned cooking.

In the recent Now Serving video by Vogue, Priyanka showcased her culinary skills by preparing a variety of dishes. She began by demonstrating the creation of the Bloody Maria Aperitif, followed by a humorous presentation of a Cereal Spectacular recipe. The video concluded with Priyanka preparing a nostalgic dish from her childhood, serving it as the main course. Priyanka said, “I have a very discerning palate. I like all kinds of food but I am just not good at doing it. Culinary skills aren’t my strong suit; let’s just put it that way.”

The actor shared a story about how her father would actively discourage her from being in the kitchen due to his opposition to gender stereotypes. Priyanka said, “My dad grew up in a conservative family and saw a lot of the girls having to always feel that they needed to be in the kitchen, it was a societal pressure. He did not want me to grow up like that, so he discouraged it, he would be like, ‘What are you doing in the kitchen? Come here!’ So I just never learnt it.”

Meanwhile on the professional front, currently Priyanka is receiving rave reviews for her Amazon Prime series Citadel. It is produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO and showrunner David Weil. Alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden, the 6-episode series features Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville in pivotal roles. Her film Love Again recently released on May 12, featuring alongside Sam Heughan. She also has Heads of State and Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in her pipeline.
