Preity Zinta plays Koi Mil Gaya title track to put kids to sleep; talks about fond memories on Koi Mil Gaya’s 20th anniversary

In a heartwarming revelation, renowned actress Preity Zinta shared a delightful parenting technique during a recent interview. The actress, who recently commemorated the 20th anniversary of the iconic film Koi Mil Gaya, opened up about her children's bedtime routine and reminisced about some memorable moments from the sets of the film.

Speaking with news agency ANI, Preity said, “The title track, Koi Mil Gaya is something I play when my kids don't go to sleep, it helps calm them down.” Preity also referred to her kids as “jadoo.” Preity also disclosed this aspect of her children's nighttime routine during the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of Koi Mil Gaya.

Preity shared an anecdote from Koi Mil Gaya. “I remember the first day of shoot, I was irritated that Hrithik was late and suddenly someone tapped on my shoulder, I turned to see and it was Hrithik in Rohit's look. He was completely unrecognisable and I was surprised to see him. It only then struck me that Hrithik was on set all along, it was just that I did not recognise him,” she said

Speaking about her bond with Hrithik, Preity said, “It’s always fun dancing and filming a song alongside Hrithik, be it ‘Bhumbro’ or ‘Idhar Chala, Main Udhar Chala’. Both the songs are very different, while ‘Bhumbro’ has us performing the Kashmiri folk dance in a specific style, ‘Idhar Chala, Main Udhar Chala’ has us dancing carefree and just having fun in the rain. The chemistry of course was very different in both these songs, ‘Bhumbro’ was two estranged lovers performing together, while ‘Idhar Chala Main, Udhar Chala’ was about two friends in a conversational dance and forming a connection.”

Preity Zinta and Gene Goodenough tied knot on February 29, 2016, in a heartfelt wedding ceremony held in Los Angeles. The couple embarked on their journey as life partners, cherishing their love and commitment to one another. In the year 2021, they were blessed with the joyous arrival of twins, a testament to their shared dreams of parenthood. Preity and Gene opted for surrogacy, embracing the opportunity to bring their precious children into the world.
