Preity Zinta, who has remained to be one of the most popular actresses of the 90s, is quite active on social media. While the actress rarely makes an appearance in films, she has been living in Los Angeles ever since her marriage and often shares glimpses of her family moments on the social media platform. Expressing her happiness over one such special occasion, Preity took to social media to reveal about the first ‘mundan’ ceremony of her kids Gia Zinta Goodenough and Jai Zinta Goodenough.

For the unversed, ‘mundan’ is a popular Indian ritual where parents take their kids to shave off their heads completely, as a way of donating the hair to a temple. Talking about the ceremony, Preity opened up about following this tradition in Los Angeles and posted a photo of her kids after their heads were shaved. She captioned it saying, “So the “Mundan ceremony” finally happened this weekend. For Hindus the first shaving off the hair for babies is considered to be a gesture of purification from the memory of their previous births and freedom from the past. Here are Jai & Gia post their mundan ceremony”. The actress’ Soldier co-star Bobby Deol dropped several heart emojis showering his love for post.

In the past, Preity Zinta has shared several posts about her enjoying her motherhood journey. The actress also visited India along with her husband and her kids, as they even took a trip to Shimla, which is expected to be the actress’ hometown.

Preity Zinta, who made her debut with the 1998 film Dil Se… alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala in a supporting role, went on to become one of the most sought-after actresses in the late 90s and early 2000s. Some of her biggest blockbusters include Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Koi Mil Gaya…, among others. The actress was last seen in the film Bhaiaji Superhit which released in 2018.
