Pooja Hegde opens up on the debacle of Cirkus; says, “I think I came out a winner” : Bollywood News

Pooja Hegde is currently gearing up for the release of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan alongside Salman Khan. The film also features Palak Tiwari and Bigg Boss 13 fame, Shehnaaz Gill. Pooja recently spoke about the failure of her film Cirkus.

Pooja was asked about Cirkus' failure in an interview RJ Siddharth Kannan. She acknowledged being disappointed when it failed and said, “Did it upset me? Yes, a little bit, because it is my baby at the end of the day. But the way I look at it, I only learnt from it. I got to work with Rohit Shetty and comedy legends like Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra. So I think overall, it was a great thing, and people really appreciated me in the film. And I love Rohit sir as a person. He is a great person to deal with and shoot with. So overall, I think I came out a winner.”

Cirkus, directed by Rohit Shetty, failed to meet audience expectations at the box office. Earlier actor Siddharth Jadhav, who played a key role in the film, had spoken out against Cirkus' failure. During an interview with Hindustan Times, the actor said, “Kabhi kabhi Sachin sir bhi zero par out huye hain, iska matlab ye nahin ki woh bure hain. Issey pehle ke matches ke apne mazze liye the, so aage ki paari achchi khelenge (Sachin sir had also been out on zero sometimes but that doesn’t make him a bad player. He had fun in the previous matches, so, he planned to play better in the future).”

Coming to professional front, Pooja will be soon seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The Farhad Samji directorial is slated to release on April 21. Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that Salman will be returning to the Eid release after four years. Besides Khan and Hegde, the ensemble star cast of the film also features Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari and Vinali Bhatnagar. The film will be a Zee Studios worldwide release. She also has SSMB 28 with Mahesh Babu in the pipeline.
