As filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt turned 73 on September 20, his daughters Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt along with others organized a small party to celebrate his birthday on Sunday evening. Sharing the pictures on her Instagram handle, Pooja wrote, “The birthday boy.. But don’t miss the setting girl! ???? ????????.”

In both the pictures, Alia is in her candid self and can be seen smiling and having fun. The father-daughter duo twinned in black as Alia was seen holding two balloons that had “Birthday Pops!” and “Simplicity” written over them. As soon as Pooja posted the pictures, the comment section flooded with birthday wishes and blessings for the filmmaker.

Alia worked with Mahesh Bhatt in Sadak 2, which released last year. The project also marked Alia’s first collaboration with the filmmaker and her sister Pooja Bhatt.

On the work front, Alia is looking forward for the release of Gangubai Kathiawadi, RRR, Brahmastra, Darlings. Currently, she is busy shooting for Karan Johar directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which is her second collaboration with Ranveer Singh. Moreover, Alia has also signed Farhan Akhtar’s directorial project Jee Le Zaraa, co-starring Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. Apart from acting, she is all set to make her directorial debut with Darlings.
