Actress and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt recently discussed about her past relationship with Bobby Deol during an interview with Vickey Lalwani. Speaking candidly yet gracefully about their equation, Pooja described that phase of her life as “magical” and chose to reflect on it with respect rather than revisit the reasons behind their separation.
Talking about Bobby Deol and their time together, Pooja Bhatt said, “It was a magical time of my life, and he was a magical human being to be with.” The actress also made it clear that she does not wish to publicly dissect why their relationship eventually came to an end. Maintaining dignity for the people involved, Pooja emphasized that some relationships deserve respect even after they are over.
“I don’t think it is in good taste to sit down today and talk about why my relationship with him ended or was. It ‘was’. We never denied it. He is a married man today, father of grown-up children, has a wonderful new surge in his career. I loved him in Animal. For me, he made the film. I’m so happy for him.”
Pooja further elaborated on why she believes certain personal matters should remain private, especially when people have moved on in life. Stressing on grace and maturity, she added, “I am not going to trivialise that equation. The time I have spent with somebody - by getting into the why it didn’t work. It worked till it didn’t work. That’s it! Dignity and grace for the present, for not only your own life but for the people who have been in your life, and the people who they have in their life, is a very important thing to maintain”.

Interestingly, Bobby Deol had recently spoken highly about Pooja Bhatt’s half-sister Alia Bhatt. The film is expected to release in cinemas in July this year and has already generated significant buzz among audiences.
Meanwhile, Bobby Deol continues to enjoy a major career resurgence following the blockbuster success of Animal, where his performance received widespread appreciation despite limited screen time. The actor is now gearing up for the release of Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming film Bandar, co-starring Sapna Pabbi and Sanya Malhotra. The film is slated to hit theatres on June 5.
