Pooja Bhatt celebrates 6 years of quitting alcohol; says, “Sobriety rocks” 6 : Bollywood News

Among many other reasons, actor-turned-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt often makes headlines for recalling her struggles with alcohol addiction. This year in December, the actress completed six years of sobriety. To celebrate the milestone, Bhatt took to her verified social media handle and shared a short note.

One of the photos from her multiple-picture post featured the rays of Sun while in the second image Pooja can be seen posing for a sun-kissed photo. In her note, the Sadak actress wrote, “Six years sober today.. Gratitude,gravitas,grace,” followed by a couple of emoticons, including folded hands and a heart.

She also hash tagged a few phrases such as “sobriety rocks”, “six years sober”, “one day at a time”, “one step at a time” and “sober life”, among others. A bunch of her friends and peers took to the comments section and extended their support to the actress.

As mentioned earlier, this is not the first time when the Border actress has shared a special post last year also. In her note to mark the five years of sober life, Pooja had written, “I can’t remember a time when I’ve not been in love. With people,yes..but more so with the very Idea of love. I looked for love everywhere I went. Chased it down unfamiliar avenues in the dead of the night & even across countries,borders,continents. I have a lot of myself to attribute to the ones who loved me back & especially the ones that didn’t.”

“One that has helped me weather many vicious storms,kept me afloat through great loss & grounded through a supposed revival of fortune & fame. There is no room for a third in my life at this point. My priority for the first time ever,is myself. My emotional health,comes first. Sobriety,recovery gets first priority. And because recovery, like love, is selfish no matter what people say,my choice is clear- it is SINGLE BLESSEDNESS all the way!,” read another excerpt of her post.
