Actress Parineeti Chopra and her husband, AAP MP Raghav Chadha, welcomed Indian women's cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur to their home in a gesture highlighting the intersection of Bollywood and sports.
Parineeti shared the moment on her Instagram stories, posting a photo of the gathering and writing, “Pleasure having you over at our place champion @imharmanpreet_kaur / your achievements, simplicity and humility inspire millions. Keep the Tricolour flying high!🇮🇳”
Kaur, 36, has captained India since 2017, amassing over 8,000 international runs. She holds the record for the first Indian woman to score a T20I century and delivered a match-winning 171* off 115 balls in the 2017 Women's World Cup semi-final against Australia. Under her leadership, India secured gold at the 2022 Asian Games, silver at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and won the Women's Premier League in 2023 and 2025 with Mumbai Indians.
Coming back to Parineeti, since welcoming son Neer on October 19, she has balanced family life with public glimpses into postpartum realities. On Neer's first-month birthday November 19, they announced his name, sharing a photo of kissing his toes and captioning, “Jalasya rupam, premasya swarupam—tatra eva Neer. Our hearts found peace in an eternal drop of life. We named him 'Neer'—pure, divine, limitless.”
Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Nick Jonas, and daughter Malti Marie sent gifts like baby shoes, a hairbrush, and fur clothes; Parineeti posted, “Neer getting spoilt already!” thanking “Mimi maasi, Nick masa, and Malti didi @priyankachopra @nickjonas.”
Recently, she shared a video of attempting to organize storage but getting distracted, writing, “Took out time to organize my storage today, got distracted, and did absolutely nothing. Confirmed symptoms of a postpartum gal,” with sad and laughing emojis.
