Parineeti Chopra makes a comeback opposite Varun Dhawan with Sajid Nadiadwala and Eros’ Dishoom

"It couldn't have been any other way," says an insider, "Daawat-e-Ishq and Kill Dil were disappointing and though no one complained about Parineeti's acting skills, she did come into scrutiny for her physique. Instead of shrugging away the comments coming from her detractors, she decided to work out. It is remarkable how she took the entire feedback so positively."

While she went through the entire fitness regime, she was also in news for the changes that were quite visible in the way she was looking.

"Still, she didn't resume signing films in a jiffy," a source adds, "In the world of Bollywood, it is a big risk to not have a release right through the year. However, she decided to be picture perfect. This meant that right through 2015 she didn't shoot for a film and now even in 2016, she won't be having a film of hers release."

Parineeti decided though that she would make an announcement of her new self for sure and when the hunt began for a leading actress to shake a leg in a sizzling dance number with Varun Dhawan, she was game for it.

"Considering the fact that this is a Sajid Nadiadwala and Sunil Lulla production, Parineeti knew that from presentation perspective, there would be no compromise whatsoever," the insider continues, "Sajid is known to lend certain class to his films and that's something which has stayed on practically every film from the house of Nadiadwala Grandson. Sajid has been delivering major commercial hits year after year and in 2016, he is the only filmmaker to have two hits to his name - Baaghi and Housefull 3. As for Eros, they have been on a high, especially after a collaboration with Sajid on Housefull 3. While Dishoom is looking quite good as well, it was a win-win situation for Parineeti to be a part of this major film."

While Parineeti too has primarily worked with the Yash Raj and Dharma camp ever since she made her debut with Ishaqzaade [2011], she is now stepping into a different world with Sajid and Eros. They too are making sure that there is a big welcome sign waiting for her.

"The song is a major highlight of the film and Sajid wants Parineeti to get her due with it," an associate comments, "In any case, music is the highlight of his films, regardless of the genre they belong to. Dishoommay be an action comedy but music would still stand out. 'Jaaneman Aah' is one such outing and Sajid is banking on Parineeti and Varun to deliver well enough to entice audience."
