Paras Kalnawat reveals he is in a ‘better and peaceful place’ after quitting Star Plus’ show Anupama; says, “80% of staff would quit if given an opportunity”

Paras Kalnawat is currently playing the male lead in the popular Zee TV show Kundali Bhagya along with Sana Sayyad as the female lead.

Paras Kalnawat, who is currently playing the role of Rajveer Luthra, the male lead of Kundali Bhagya post the massive leap on the show, recalled his Anupama days in his recent social media post. In an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session with the users, the actor was asked about leaving the prime time Star Plus show, in which he essayed the role of maa ka ladla (mom’s favourite) Samar, featuring as Rupali Ganguly aka Anupama’s son. In the post, the actor confessed that he wanted to explore new opportunities and that he is in a happy place.

When a curious user asked the reason behind Paras quitting Anupama, the actor said, “I would always be thankful to the makers for giving me such a great show. But yaaron kahin pohonchne ke liye kahin se nikalna zaroori hota hai (To reach somewhere, you need to get out of things) and I believe I'm at a much better and peaceful place.” Along with that, Paras Kalnawat also made a shocking statement about how most of the cast would like to quit the show to explore something more. “Honestly speaking 80% of the cast would want to exit if given an opportunity. Risk lene ki aur sahi ke liye ladne ki taaqat har kisi me nahi hoti (Not everyone has the strength to take a risk or take a stand for what is right). ;)”

Readers would recall that after news of Paras Kalnawat signing on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 started creating a buzz, the makers of Anupama released an official statement about terminating the actor from the show. Producer Rajan Shahi had confirmed the development adding, "We as a production house won't entertain breach of contract. We have terminated his services as an actor with immediate effect. We wish him all the best for his future endeavours.”

Paras Kalnawat essayed the character of Anupama’s second son Samar Shah which is now essayed by Sagar Parekh. On the other hand, Kundali Bhagya features Paras Kalnawat alongside Sana Sayyad who plays the role of Palkhi. The show sees the actor essaying the role of Shraddha Arya aka Preeta Luthra’s son.
