Actress Mahhi Vij is one doting mother. There is nothing that she will stop her daughter Tara from indulging in, but not without strict supervision. A firm believer in being a hands-on mother, Mahhi reiterates that she will always have a majority hand in raising her daughter in the best way she believes. And something she does not agree about is leaving kids under the care of Nannies, that seems to be an approach that many new mothers believe in.

She says, "I don’t leave Tara with the help. I firmly believe that your child is your child. It’s not their child. How much ever salary you pay them, how much ever liberty you give them, how much ever you leave them to spend time with your child - the kid is yours. I have kept the best of nannies for Tara. But at the end of the day, we must realize that they are just for your help. They can’t raise my child."

"Every child needs their mother and father to be an integral part of raising them and be there in their growing-up years. For instance, even after spending a day with her Nanny, Tara gets to take a walk in the park with Jay, or she accompanies me whenever I head out. So she gets to spend quality time with Myself, Jay, and of course with her Nanny, when both of us are away at work and can't take her with them. There should be a balance. That way, the child knows that the parents are there. I believe this really makes a huge difference in the child’s mental health and that’s where a sense of security in any kid comes from," she signs off.
