Lord Hanuman is one of the most revered Gods in India. Today being Hanuman Jayanti (birth anniversary), devotees all across India have thronged the many Hanuman temples in the country. One among them is filmmaker Om Raut, who visited the famous Karmanghat Hanuman Temple in Hyderabad today to seek blessings for his upcoming film Adipurush, which is based on the epic Ramayana.

In the pictures that have come out, Raut is seen joining hands in front of the Hanuman idol in the temple in one picture while in the other, he is seen taking the aarti from the priest. The rich decoration with flowers around the temple where the deity resides is unmissable.

Sharing more about Raut’s visit to the temple, a statement from the makers said, “This is an immensely meaningful moment for the director as the film not only encapsulate the devotion of Shri Bajrang Bali towards Prabhu Shri Ram but also rekindles the spirit of Indian culture.”

Earlier in the day, on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, the makers of Adipurush released a solo poster of the character of Hanuman, who is also known as Bajrang Bali, from the film. The character is played by Devdatta Nage, who was also a part of Raut’s earlier film, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. The Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan and Kajol starrer turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Om Raut and Prasad Sutar’s banner Retrophiles, Adipurush sees Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh essay the characters of Ram, Sita, Raavan and Lakshman respectively.

Adipurush is all set to release in theatres on June 16.
