From ‘Om Mangalam,’ ‘It’s My Life’ to ‘Black Flies’: Aneet Padda shares her personal soundtrack

en Bollywood News From ‘Om Mangalam,’ ‘It’s My Life’ to ‘Black Flies’: Aneet Padda shares her personal soundtrack

Fresh off the success of Saiyaara, actor Aneet Padda is embracing her moment in the spotlight — and sharing the music that soundtracks her life. In a recent interaction with Femina India, Padda offered a glimpse into her personal playlist, revealing the songs she turns to in different moods — from quiet vulnerability to pre-audition focus.

When she’s feeling happy, her pick is unabashed pop. “‘I Really Like You’ by Carly Rae Jepsen,” she shared.

For moments when she needs to let her guard down, Padda turns to something far more personal — the extended album of Saiyaara, the film that recently propelled her into wider recognition. The romantic drama, directed by Mohit Suri, marked the debut of Ahaan Panday and became a breakout project for Padda. Choosing its music as something she cries to suggests the emotional imprint the film continues to have on her.

Her getting-ready anthem, however, shifts the tone entirely. She opts for ‘Om Mangalam’ from Kambakkht Ishq — a high-energy track often associated with glam and performance.

Before a big scene or audition, Padda listens to ‘Black Flies’ by Ben Howard, a stripped-down, introspective number that contrasts sharply with her upbeat picks. The choice hints at a preference for quiet focus before stepping into demanding moments on set.

And when she’s alone and uninhibited? ‘It’s My Life Whatever I Wanna Do’ by Vennu Mallesh — a cult favourite known for its offbeat charm.

The range of her playlist mirrors the trajectory of her career so far. Padda first appeared on the big screen in Salaam Venky, followed by a role in the Amazon Prime Video series Big Girls Don’t Cry. But it was Saiyaara that turned her into an overnight star, placing her firmly in the industry’s spotlight.

She is now gearing up for her next project, Shakti Shalini, set within Maddock’s expanding horror-comedy universe. The film reportedly reunites her with her Salaam Venky co-star Vishal Jethwa.
