Speaking from their family home in Karimganj, Noor's paternal aunt, Arati Das, shared insights into the late actor's struggles, stating, "She went to Mumbai with big hopes to become an actress. However, she was fighting hard to achieve this. We understand that Malabika was unsatisfied with her achievements that forced her to take this extreme step."

Before venturing into showbiz, she worked as an air hostess with Qatar Airways, demonstrating her determination to pursue her dreams. According to the Mid-Day report, despite attempts to reach her family, no one responded, leading the police to conduct her last rites with the help of an NGO that manages the cremation of unclaimed bodies in the city.
