Prime Video has announced the global premiere date of its upcoming live-action series Spider-Noir, starring Nicolas Cage in his first leading role on television. The series is set to release worldwide on May 27, 2026, with all episodes dropping at once on Prime Video across more than 240 countries and territories.
Based on Marvel’s Spider-Man Noir comic series, Spider-Noir follows Ben Reilly, played by Cage, a struggling private investigator in 1930s New York who is forced to confront his past after a personal tragedy. Adding a unique twist for viewers, Spider-Noir will be available in two different formats, an “Authentic Black & White” version and a “True-Hue Full Color” version, allowing audiences to choose their preferred viewing experience.
The series also features Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson, with several guest stars including Lukas Haas and Cameron Britton. Produced by Sony Pictures Television exclusively for MGM+ and Prime Video, the show will also air earlier in the US, premiering on MGM+’s linear channel on May 25, ahead of its global streaming rollout.
Emmy-winning filmmaker Harry Bradbeer has directed and executive produced the first two episodes. The series is co-showrun by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, who developed the project with Spider-Verse creators Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and producer Amy Pascal, all of whom serve as executive producers.
