Popular singer and songwriter Neha Bhasin recently opened up about her experiences with slut-shaming and the negative impact that her participation in the reality show Bigg Boss had on her mental health.

In a recent episode of the Bollywood Bubble podcast Let's Talk With Bollywood Bubble, Neha spoke candidly about the challenges she faced after being subjected to online abuse and slut-shaming. She admitted that it affected her deeply, but she is determined to rise above it and not let it define her.

"Of course, it affected me. I don't want to lie about it. I don't want somebody else who may be feeling affected right now to feel they need to be brave about it," Neha said. She further expressed her disbelief at the level of negativity and cruelty people can exhibit. "I get very surprised that how do people feel so brutal that they want to hurt people so much," she added.

Neha also revealed that her experience on Bigg Boss caused her significant trauma and anxiety. She asserted, “I had a very difficult year after that, but I think it’s okay now, it’s over. But I want to say one thing that it was the last straw and what Bigg Boss has given me is freedom to completely rise above human assholery.”

She further added, “I don’t want to care anymore. Even after Bigg Boss, the trauma I went through, the nights I’ve been through or the anxieties I’ve gone through, they were not there for it. People who were there are still with me.”

For the unversed, Neha participated in the first season of Bigg Boss OTT, which was hosted by Karan Johar.
