Neetu Kapoor, the proud mother of Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and his wife Alia Bhatt, took to social media to express her joy and support following the couple's recent victory at the Filmfare Awards 2024. In an Instagram post, Neetu shared her feelings alongside pictures capturing the couple’s moment at the awards ceremony.
The post featured two images side by side, one capturing the recent Filmfare Awards ceremony and the other dating back to the evening of 2019 when Ranbir and Alia clinched the Best Actor Awards for their performances in Sanju and Raazi respectively. Neetu Kapoor revealed that she had secretly harboured hopes for a repeat of the 2019 success, expressing her delight as history repeated itself. In her caption, Neetu Kapoor shared her joy at witnessing the duo once again being honoured for their talent. She wrote in caption, “I secretly prayed n wished a repeat of 2019 ( Sanju raazi ) so happy it happened again !!! Congratulations both of you. proud very very proud #animal #rockyranikipremkahani.”

On the film front, fans eagerly anticipate Ranbir and Alia’s upcoming collaboration in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War. Set to release on Christmas next year, the multi-starrer also features Vicky Kaushal. This project holds immense significance as it marks the reunion of SLB and Ranbir Kapoor after 17 years, reminiscent of their collaboration in the film Saawariya. Moreover, it marks Alia’s second collaboration with the filmmaker following her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi.
