1980s icon and actress Neelam Kothari Soni made heads turn with her stint in Netflix’s original show, Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives after 20 long years. Well, there’s more to Neelam than just being a popular actress. The actress took a break from the entertainment business and started working on her jewellery brand. Recently, the actress-turned-jewellery-designer found a perfect face for her brand on the sets of the singing reality show Indian Idol 13 in the form of the contestant Bidipta Chakraborty.

Interestingly, the SONY Entertainment reality show recently invited Neelam Kothari and Ayesha Jhulka for a special episode. It all happened after Bidipta impressed them with her singing prowess as she sings ‘Gajar Ne Kiya Hai Ishara’.

Post her performance, Neelam said, “Bidipta, aap itni sundar ho, itni cute ho. I am aware that many directors have come on Indian Idol and have told you that you should become a heroine. I too feel the same but, there is a surprise I’ve got for you,” to the Indian Idol 13 contestant.

The Hum Saath Saath Hai actress then opened a box, handed it to Bidipta and asserted, “You’re aware that I used to act and then joined my family business. And now, I have my own jewellery brand named Neelam Jewels. Why don’t you model for my brand? You have to be the face of Neelam Jewels.” Interestingly, Neelam also gifted a beautiful necklace to Bidipta from her brand.
