The sudden demise of Sushant Singh Rajput left the entire nation in shock as many loved and adored the star for his acting and dancing chops. While his death is still a matter of debate among social media users, his friends and colleagues from the industry have time and again recalled their fond memories and opened up about the actor and their bond with them. Among them is Mukesh Chhabra, who was incidentally also the director of Sushant’s last film Dil Bechara.

Mukesh Chhabra, in a recent interaction, said that not only did he know Sushant Singh Rajput but the late actor was one of his closest friends. He revealed that they forged a great friendship, and he also expressed his grief and sadness over how he never knew what Sushant was going through during the pandemic and was unable to help him during these stressful times. In the interview with LallanTop, Mukesh said, “It was during the pandemic. If I knew what he was going through, I would’ve gone and spoken to him. We used to meet very often. From his first film to his last one, our relationship remained strong.”

He also asserted that it mattered to Sushant when someone said something about him. He added, “He would get affected very easily. He would get upset with people very easily. He would get very upset if he read a negative article about himself. He was an oversensitive person, we all are.”

Sushant Singh Rajput, who gained fame as a popular television star, made his big screen debut with Kai Po Che. The actor went on to do films like Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kedarnath, Chhichhore, among others. His last film was Dil Bechara with Sanjana Sanghi, which was a Hindi adaptation of the cult romantic book ‘The Fault In Our Stars’.
