Actor Mrunal Thakur shared a note of gratitude for the response to the trailer of her upcoming bilingual film Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha, a day after its release on April 4. The actor posted behind-the-scenes photographs from the sets of the Adivi Sesh starrer and acknowledged the appreciation the trailer has received from audiences.
“Grateful beyond words for all the love and appreciation you’ve shown for the Dacoit trailer. Ufff the countdown to the film release officially starts now,” she wrote, signalling growing anticipation ahead of the film’s theatrical release.

Mrunal Thakur reflects on working across languages and genres
At the trailer launch event, Mrunal spoke about navigating performances across different industries and storytelling formats. She emphasised that language is not the defining factor in choosing a project. Instead, she said the genre of a film plays a far more important role in shaping performance choices.
“Language doesn’t matter. What matters is the genre of the movie. And I have realised that the hold and the pauses between each dialogue are so important,” she said. She also explained how Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha required her to pay close attention to physical expression and posture, especially in emotionally intense scenes. According to the actor, action-driven narratives demand a distinct body language that helps communicate vulnerability and strength without relying entirely on dialogue.
“This is the first time I had to take help from Adivi Sesh. Because there are tricks on how to stand in a certain position. If you have to look vulnerable, you suddenly slouch. These details play a very important role,” she added.
With the trailer already generating conversation online and Mrunal’s behind-the-scenes glimpse adding to the momentum, Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha is now moving closer to its theatrical release on April 10.
