The actor shared insights into the making of the moment, highlighting the effort that went into ensuring authenticity beyond just technical enhancement. While the sequence was widely appreciated for its VFX brilliance, Mona clarified that it was far more than a simple face replacement. She revealed that she actively shot for the sequence, working to match the original choreography and movements with precision. The process demanded both technical coordination and performance accuracy, making it a creatively challenging yet rewarding experience.
Adding to the intensity was the tight schedule. Mona had just wrapped up her commitments in Punjab for another project when she received a call to return for the finale shoot. Switching from one character space to another required her to quickly adapt and step into the mindset of her role, something she described as not being easy.
Speaking about the experience, Mona said: “Yes, yes, VFX for sure, because they had to match the same moves. But I did shoot for it, you know, it wasn’t just a face replacement or something like that. I had shot for it. And the funny thing is that I was coming from my Kohrra universe. I had just finished shooting for Kohrra and I got a call from Red Chillies. They’re like, ‘Okay, we’re ready to shoot the finale, the climax. When are you coming back from Punjab?’ I was like, ‘Okay, now I have to get into Neeta zone.’ It wasn’t easy, it wasn’t easy. But we had a great choreographer and Aryan, of course, full of his energy and enthusiasm. ‘Ma’am, we’ll do this.’ He was doing the steps for me. I was like, ‘Okay, I’ll try.’ But yeah, it was a lot of fun.”
The sequence has since gone on to become a standout moment, with audiences appreciating both the visual finesse and Mona Singh’s commitment to delivering a performance that felt real and engaging. With her consistent ability to take on diverse roles and elevate them, Mona Singh continues to solidify her position as one of the most compelling performers today, showing no signs of slowing down in 2026.
