Minissha Lamba remembers Kidnap filmmaker Sanjay Gadhvi; addresses him as a ‘loving parent’ : Bollywood News

Sanjay Gadhvi, who has directed films like Dhoom, Dhoom 2, and Kidnap, recently passed away due to cardiac arrest reportedly. Followed by the news of his demise, many Bollywood celebrities opened up about their bond and their fondest memories of working with the filmmaker. And among them was Minissha Lamba who worked with him on Kidnap, co-starring Imran Khan and Sanjay Dutt.

In an interview with Zoom, Minissha Lamba recalled some memories of her working with Sanjay Gadhvi wherein she revealed that he would often take care of everyone on the sets and was like a ‘loving parent’. She said, “Sanjay was a loving parent on the set. He left no stone unturned in ensuring that things went smoothly.” Further talking about how she still can’t get over the shock of his demise, Minissha also revealed that she has met his family and how she loved spending time with them. “During Kidnap, sometimes we went to his place, and I can never forget those moments with them at the dining table. There was a special dish often in his lunch.”

During the interaction, Minissha also remembered eating a food dish called ‘Gur Karela’, which she asserted that she never found anywhere else. “Imagine karelas getting sweet in jaggery. It was a mouth-watering dish. I tried getting it outside, but I did not. A couple of people tried making it for me, but they never got it right,” she added. The actress also expressed grief over the fact that she never spoke to him much and that the last conversation they had was on her birthday on January 18.

Sanjay Gadhvi passed away on November 19, 2023. According to reports, Gadhvi experienced chest pain while taking a morning walk on Lokhandwala Back Road. He was immediately rushed to the nearby Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The cause of his death is suspected to be a heart attack. The filmmaker is survived by his wife Gina and two daughters.
