Filming is officially complete on Daayra, the upcoming film by acclaimed filmmaker Meghna Gulzar, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Jointly produced by Junglee Pictures and Pen Studios, the film has now entered the post-production stage and is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2026.
Daayra is described as an investigative crime thriller that examins how a single disturbing act can set off a chain of reactions, leading to divided opinions across society. Instead of offering clear-cut conclusions, the film aims to encourage reflection and discussion, raising questions that continue to resonate beyond the narrative.
Known for her nuanced storytelling, Meghna Gulzar brings a measured and thoughtful approach to the project. The film is expected to have layered performances from Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, supported by an ensemble cast that add depth and realism to the story.
