Mannara Chopra addressed the speculation surrounding her relationship with her cousins Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra. The Bigg Boss 17 first runner-up revealed that she consciously chose not to mention her family during her time on the show to avoid being labelled as a "nepo kid" and to establish herself based on her own merits.

In a recent interview with Sidharth Kannan, Mannara Chopra touched upon her alleged feud with her cousins and actresses Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra and emphasized that her relationship with them is harmonious. She also said that she aimed to gain recognition for her talents without relying on familial connections. Asserting her independence, Mannara stated, "I didn’t take their names because I really wanted people to see me and who I am, and I wanted to fight my own battle."

Reflecting on the influence of Priyanka Chopra's success, Mannara spoke of admiring her cousin's independence and strength since her teenage years. She credited Priyanka for inspiring her to pursue her dreams on her own terms and to assert herself in the industry. Despite her admiration for Priyanka's achievements, Mannara revealed that when she expressed interest in acting at a young age, Priyanka advised her to prioritize education as the foundation for her aspirations.

Mannara recalled instances in the Bigg Boss house where she asserted her qualifications during conflicts, highlighting the importance of education in life and also no matter what profession on might opt for.
