Actress Mallika Sherawat recently shared a glimpse into a challenging yet rewarding photoshoot experience on her social media. On June 11, Sherawat posted a collection of behind-the-scenes photos from a desert shoot near Palm Springs, California.

Alongside the pictures, she penned, "This is one of my Favorite photoshoots but it required a remarkable level of discipline as we shot it in the desert on the way to Palm springs California. The desert was challenging and harsh, it was scorching heat. I couldn't drink water before or during the shoot to prevent the appearance of bloating.”

The Welcome actress further added, “My physical fitness had to be in peak condition. I discovered that a glamorous Photoshoot in the desert is just not about looking good but it requires significant discipline & holistic approach."

This post marks Sherawat's first social media activity since her co-star Ashmit Patel's recent interview, with Siddharth Kannan, regarding their 2004 film Murder. Patel, who shared the screen with Sherawat and Emraan Hashmi in the commercially successful movie, revealed details about a specific scene where he had to choke her character. He claimed to have followed veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah's advice on filming such scenes safely.

However, Patel stated that Sherawat accused him of choking her for real after the shot and that Mahesh Bhatt (the film's producer) requested him to apologise. Patel further elaborated on his approach to the characters' dynamic, mentioning his attempt at method acting and maintaining distance to build on-screen tension. He also expressed his opinion that Sherawat received a disproportionate amount of credit for the film's success.
