He has come a long way from directing television serials to his silver screen debut with Main Aurr Mrs Khanna. The man is none other than, Prem Soni. With MAMK, Soni has vowed to bring back the love stories. The film features the dashing Salman Khan with gorgeous Kareena Kapoor releases today.

Prem was live on Bollywood Hungama's Celebrity Chat to talk about his experiences with the actors and also about directing his film. So for all those of you who failed to be the part of this conversation, we bring you the excerpts of the 'lively' chat!

Ali: hi sir...is it dream come true for you to begin your first project with Salman...how was the exp?

Prem Soni: Ali, Its indeed is a dream come true. The exp was overwhelming as both of them never made me feel that its my 1st film

Imran: why did u choose Sajid-Wajid for music instead that u would have taken Pritam?

Prem Soni: Imran, Sajid wajid's enthusiasm made me feel that they will come up with great music

Prem Soni: Salman, He is one of the nicest human beings I have ever met.

Prem Soni : Tom, Thanks a lot. Pls do watch. It will make u smile and also happy.

Salman: hey did Salman ever throw tantrums?

Prem Soni: He was always very supportive towards the film.

Sam: hi...have u done the voting?

Prem Soni: Sam, Unfortunately I don't have a voter's card. I will be doing it next time onwards.

Akshay: Hi Prem, who is your fav Khan...SRK or Aamir? I am not asking Salman as it is obvious that he will be ur current fav:-)

Prem Soni: akshay, Aamir

Salman: did kareena and salman get along?

Prem Soni: salman, yes indeed

Zaz: why didn't u promote your movie on Salman's show Dus Ka Dum?

Prem Soni: Zaz, we did intend to...as it was late in the day ....Kareena and Sohail were already on the show.

Sallulover: what is ur expectation with this film as it's releasing with the major films?

Prem Soni: sallulover, I believe that good films do well. And MAMK is a good film. That's why my expectations is that it will do really well.

Akshay: hi Prem, what is ur next project?

Prem Soni: akshay, its a film called PARIS.

AHMED: Hello mr.prem, My question is has salman preformed to his potential to the scope of his role, has he underplayed the character like he does on most of the films or has he raised above the script, how do you judge Salman's performance in this film?

Prem Soni: Ahmed, He has surely raised above the script. When u watch the film I am sure that u will come out refreshed with the kind of performance that he has

given to the role.

Sam: was it really tough to crack in this industry??

Prem Soni: Sam, it has had its own share of struggles...but if u r dedicated enough ...u will surely make it

Niraj: prem ji, why was the release date fixed with 'All The Best' & 'Blue'? Why didn't you choose the post Diwali week where there would have been no competition for you as 2 small films are releasing. Though a general opinion is that Main Aur Mrs. Khanna will find it tough due to two other big releases.

Prem Soni: Niraj, the Producers decided on the release date. Good films do good business...and since there are three films releasing this Diwali, I genuinely hope

and pray that all the films do well at the B-O.

AHMED: there are stories floating around that Atul was so impressed that he has signed you for his next production with salman in the film, is it true ?

Prem Soni: Ahmed, Yes indeed. He is the producer for Paris .

Rida: what's so special about MAMK that the audience should watch it?

Prem Soni: rida, its got a story that can move a million hearts. It has surely the something for you....me.....and for all of us :-)

Niraj: prem ji, is you have made a love story, what is your opinion about Aditya Chopra as a writer and film maker. Have you seen Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and what's your opinion about the film?

Prem Soni: Niraj, Adi is a veteran ...He is sum1 who has proved his mettle time and again. I would be too small to comment over his film as this is my film. I still have to learn a lot.

Gia13: How come Preity Zinta in MAMK? Her role could have been a little longer???

Prem Soni: Gia, thnks for the compliment. As far as Preity's role is concerned, it was always supposed to be a short role as that's what the script demanded. And I am highly thankful for Preity to be doing it

Raj: who is your fav actor that you would like to direct one day?

Prem Soni: raj, as a writer I would first write a script and then decide on the actor.

Maya: do u have any intention of working with Salman and Kareena again in future projects?

Prem Soni: maya, yes for sure. Anything that I feel deserves them , I would surely love to cast them again. It's a wonderful journey.

Abdee: I want to assist you, how is that possible?

Prem Soni: abdee, right now i want to take a break. Next year.....

Sallulover: describe Salman Khan in one word :)

Prem Soni: sallulover, HEART OF GOLD

Rida: do u think there's space in the industry for young teens?

Prem Soni: rida, I totally believe that there's lot of space for young ppl in the industry ...with fresh ideas.

N_Vashi: have you written this film also? How did you get the break?

Prem Soni: N-vashi, I have written the entire film. I met Salman Khan, narrated the script. He agreed and that's how I got the break

AHMED: Prem, do you feel you are good at handling emotional stories or you want to try out your hand in comedy, action, period or reality hard hitting films too, what are your ambitions as a director?

Prem Soni: Ahmed, I feel that I am good at love stories with real emotions. For the time being, I wud love to be associated with this genre.

JunMao: Is it true that this movie was first brought to Salman in 2007?

Prem Soni: Jun, yes its true.

Honey: who is playing lead actress opposite salman?

Prem Soni: honey, I am still in covo..not yet decided

JunMao: Favorite song in the movie?

Prem Soni: jun, DONT SAY ALVIDA

Rida: who do u think will make it to the top? Kareena or Katrina?

Prem Soni: Rida, both are on top. They don't have any kind of competition with each other

Sanjeev: how do you think Main Aurr Mrs Khanna will do at box office? Songs are really great.

Prem Soni: sanjeev, its a film that is a happy film. And I am sure that ppl like to see happy film. And i am sure that it will do well at the B-O.

Prem Soni: NV, All Yash Chopra directed films are classics. I agree totally that V-Z is one of the classiest films.

Honey: what is the reaction of Salman Khan when he saw the rushes?

Prem Soni: honey, he simply loved the film. He smiled and said "Prem, u made a good film".

Tom: what's the airport connection... why do u have planes on the posters?

Prem Soni: tom, a huge amt of the film is situated at the Melbourne Intl airport. Its very much a part of the script.

Prem: prem name is lucky for salman as his first film Maine Pyaar Kiya character name was Prem.so i think even this time Prem connection with Salman will work as i'm an astrologer

Srinath: is the making of movie slowly changing with time in India?

Prem Soni: srinath, yes. it is .Its getting fresher and new.

Honey: u give importance to critics appreciation or box office collections?

Prem Soni: honey, B-O gives u the money while the critics give u the respect. Both are as imp as it cud be :-)

Net Bug: why the name Main Aurr Mrs Khanna?

Prem Soni: netbug, because, when u watch the film and get out of the theatre, u will realize how apt the title is. It justifies the title
