Mahesh Babu is all set for his next Maharshi. While he is all set to kick off the schedule of his next in the US, we hear that the Telugu superstar took some time out to catch up on the recent release Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. The Tamil film directed by veteran Mani Ratnam seem to have been raking in moolah at the box office and has also been winning hearts over the weekend. And looks like Mahesh Babu was one of them who were left impressed after catching the film.

In fact, Mahesh Babu even took to Twitter to share how much he loved Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. The actor apparently caught up with the film at his home theatre and has expressed about how much he enjoyed it. Apart from the ‘stellar’ performances of his colleagues, what also left Mahesh Babu impressed was A R Rahman and Santosh Sivan’s work too.

Mahesh Babu took to social media wherein he confessed that he has always been a true blue fan of Mani Ratnam’s work. Speaking of the same, he said, “#ChekkaChivanthaVaanam... stellar performances .. @arrahman...matchless?? @santoshsivan...pure class As a #ManiRatnam fan, used to clap watching his films in the theaters of Chennai, did the same... watching it in my home theater with my collar up.” Furthermore he also urged his fans to catch the film in multiplexes.

Coming back to Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, the film saw Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari reuniting with her favourite South filmmaker Mani Ratnam in this film. While she had a miniscule role, the others in the film included Arvind Swamy, Silmabarasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Jyothika, Arun Vijay, Aishwarya Rajesh amongst others. The action thriller released last week on September 28 and we hear that it also released in Telugu with the title Nawab.

On the other hand, talking about Maharshi featuring the superstar Mahesh Babu, the film is directed by Vamsi Paidipally and stars Pooja Hegde as the love interest of the leading man.
