Actor Mahesh Babu took to X (formerly Twitter) to shower praise on his Varanasi co-star Priyanka Chopra Jonas as her latest Hollywood outing The Bluff premiered on Amazon Prime Video. The superstar shared a warm message applauding both the film and Priyanka’s performance, continuing his streak of publicly supporting her work.

The Bluff is a 2026 swashbuckler action thriller directed by Frank E. Flowers and written by Flowers along with Joe Ballarini. The film stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas alongside Karl Urban, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green, and Temuera Morrison. Backed by AGBO, Cinestar Pictures, and Purple Pebble Pictures, the film premiered on Amazon Prime Video on February 25, 2026.
Mahesh Babu’s tweet quickly caught the attention of fans, especially as the two stars are set to share screen space for the first time in Varanasi, directed by S. S. Rajamouli. The upcoming epic action-adventure drama will mark Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ return to Indian cinema after nearly seven years, making the collaboration one of the most anticipated projects in recent times.
This is not the first time Mahesh Babu has openly showcased support for Priyanka’s work. In the past as well, he has applauded her international projects, and fans have often noted the mutual admiration between the two actors as they prepare for their big-screen outing together.
Varanasi will also feature Prithviraj Sukumaran in a grey role and is being shot across multiple countries and continents. Slated for release on April 7, 2027, the film is expected to be mounted on a grand scale.
