Director Laxman Utekar is gearing up for the highly anticipated release of his family-oriented film, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. Starring Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles, the movie is scheduled to hit theatres on June 2. In a recent interview, Utekar expressed his willingness to collaborate with Vicky and Katrina Kaif if the right opportunity presents itself.

Laxman Utekar explains why Katrina Kaif was not cast in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke opposite Vicky Kaushal; says, “Aapko lagta hai Katrina kabhi small town ki heroine lagegi?”

Talking to PeepingMoon, Laxman said, “Meri language Katrina ko samajh aayegi tabhi kar paunga. Aapko lagta hai Katrina kabhi small town ki heroine lagegi (I can do only if Katrina understands my language. Do you think Katrina will look like a small-town heroine)? If we get a good script, I would love to work with Vicky and Katrina.”

He further added, “I wouldn't get them onboard this time because Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is in a different space and I feel Katrina ka joh aura hai and personality hai, mujhe personally laga nahi ki voh ek middle-class joint family ki bahu lag sakti hai. Agar future mein aisa kuch banega joh unko suit karega toh kyun nahi (The aura and personality Katrina has I personally didn't feel she can look like a middle-class joint family daughter-in-law. If there is anything in the future that will suit them then why not).”

Talking about the film, Jio Studios & Dinesh Vijan present Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The movie takes place in Indore, where Vicky portrays the character of Kapil and Sara takes on the role of Soumya. The story revolves around a couple who initially shares deep love for each other in a small-town setting. However, as the years go by, their relationship begins to deteriorate, leading to constant conflicts. Eventually, they decide to file for a divorce, but there seems to be a twist in the tale.
