Readers would be aware that Lara Dutta Bhupathi and Priyanka Chopra Jonas won the Miss Universe Pageant together with the actress being crowned as Miss Universe and Chopra being crowned as Miss World in the year 2000. The two actresses were also launched together in the industry as co-stars in Andaaz in 2003, co-starring Akshay Kumar. Recalling the memories of her debut, Lara penned an emotional note and also opened up about her camaraderie with her co-stars Akshay and Priyanka.

Lara Dutta Bhupathi took to Instagram to share a poster of Andaaz along with a photo of her and Akshay Kumar from the film. She penned a beautiful note where she also asserted that she would also be supportive of Priyanka Chopra. “And just like that…….. it’s been 20 years!!!”, she said and continued, “What an incredible, exhilarating journey!!! Always grateful! ????. First of all to the audience and fans! To @suneeldarshan for offering me my first film and being the wonderful, cultured, caring person he is. My dearest Raj ji for being the most patient teacher. My forever most handsome, most fun , always there for me, @akshaykumar For just being who he is!!!

Directed by Suneel Darshan, Andaaz marked the debut of Lara Dutta Bhupathi and marked Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ debut as the parallel lead after her supporting role in The Hero: Love Story of a Spy.

On the film front, Lara Dutta Bhupathi was last seen in the Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom in which she essayed the role of India’s former PM Indira Gandhi. The actress is currently working on a few web shows as well.
