Do Patti marks Kriti Sanon's debut as she plays identical twins in the upcoming Netflix film. The project is generating buzz as it revisits the classic trope of the good versus evil twin, with sibling rivalry and jealousy as central themes. In reality, Kriti and her younger sister, Nupur Sanon, have maintained a positive relationship, despite Nupur acknowledging that comparisons between them are common.

In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Kriti shared that while the industry’s tendency to pit them against each other hasn’t affected their bond, she has felt "irritated" by the differing behavior of their relatives towards them. She recalled, “Nothing has trickled to the extent where our feelings towards each other changed. I don’t think I’ve gone through that, not yet, at least. When I came to the industry, Nupur was very young and she wasn’t in Mumbai at that point and that’s when I saw certain relatives treating us differently and that angered me.”
And, while Nupur was unconcerned, Kriti found herself getting bothered. “When we would go to their place, they treated us different. They would wish me and Nupur differently on our birthdays. That’s something I found immature. She’s very strong and extremely matured despite being my younger sister. She handles things well and even if something hurts or bothers her, she never lets it come to her face,” Kriti said.
The other first for Kriti with Do Patti is her debut as a producer. When asked about how different this set was from the others, she said, “My mind was in different places but that’s not because I was producing the film. I’m an observer and over-thinker, in general. So, I’m constantly looking around. If I feel something, I just say it. I believe in stating my opinions and talking about what I’m feeling to the other person rather than just keeping it to myself.”
Kriti further added, “But yes, this time around, I was a lot more aware of the film because I went through the whole journey of it, right from its scripting stage. I knew the story in a deeper way as compared to my other films. But I don’t think turning a producer changed my perception of actors in any way.”
Kriti shared her thoughts on the increasing presence of women on film sets today. Kriti said, “Kajol ma’am must have seen a more drastic change. I wouldn’t say that I witnessed a change in ten years. It has been the same, more or less. In my first film too, there were female ADs. But more women means looking at a situation from both the male and the female lens and that’s very important. It also results in greater safety on a set.”
