Kriti Sanon mistakes a fake Twitter account for Shreyas Talpade : Bollywood News

A fake account under the name of Shreyas Talpade lauded actress Kriti Sanon for her performance in Shehzada via Twitter. Shreyas took the matter to Twitter and apologized the actress. Rohit Dhawan’s Shehzada starred Kriti Sanon opposite Kartik Aaryan. The film released in theatres on February 17, 2023.

Kriti Sanon mistakes a fake Twitter account for Shreyas Talpade

On Tuesday, the fake account tagged the lead actors of Shehzada Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon and tweeted, “Just saw #shehzada.. @TheAaryanKartik take a bow my friend... and @kritisanon is next madhubala of this country.” Kriti Sanon assumed it to be a real account and tweeted back to the now-deleted post, “Wow! Those shoes are too big to fit.. but thank you for such a lovely compliment.”

Fans immediately pointed out that the user was impersonating Shreyas when Kriti posted the tweet. Shreyas requested Twitter to investigate into the situation. He said, “Dear @kritisanon, I am so sorry a tweet was sent to you via a fake account under my name. Will take it up with @verified @TwitterSupport and block the imposter immediately. That aside...sending you love and luck for Shehzada.”

Shreyas also tweeted, “@TwitterSupport @verified request you to PLEASE look into this. This account has appeared again within 15 days timeframe even after reporting them. It's just silly and misleads people. The account is @ShreyasTalpade.”

Clearly, this has made it more difficult for users to distinguish between verified celebrity accounts and impersonator accounts. When Twitter Blue began operating to verify accounts in exchange for money, many such misunderstandings have emerged on the platform.

On the professional front, Kriti will be next be seen in The Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu, Adipurush opposite Prabhas. The actress will also be seen opposite Shahid Kapoor in an untitled film under Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films banner.
