Bollywood actors Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat, who tied the knot on March 16, 2024, continue to share candid glimpses from their wedding celebrations. In a recent conversation with Karan Johar on the Manyavar Shaadi show, Kriti recalled a hilarious and unexpected moment from their big day — Pulkit’s pants tearing just minutes before their wedding reception.
Recounting the incident, Kriti shared that it happened right before the couple’s first dance. Nervous about the performance, she asked Pulkit if they could do a quick practice run. “We got married and our first dance is about to take place. I’m like, I’m very nervous baby, can we just practice once,” she said. As they began counting the steps, things took an unplanned turn. “Suddenly I hear this loud sound going ‘trrr’… and Pulkit’s pant had just tore,” Kriti revealed, adding that she couldn’t stop laughing at the situation.
With guests waiting and the reception scheduled to begin, Kriti admitted she ran out in laughter to alert Pulkit’s stylist. “It’s 11:30 in the night. People are waiting, we have a reception,” she recalled. Fortunately, the stylist had anticipated such a mishap and had a backup outfit ready. Reflecting on the moment, Kriti offered practical advice to couples, suggesting that they rehearse their dance routines in outfits similar to what they plan to wear on the big day.
During the same conversation, the couple also opened up about life after marriage. Pulkit described their relationship as one rooted in friendship, saying, “More than married life, I think we are best friends and best roommates.” Kriti echoed his sentiment and spoke about the importance of holding on to love once you find it.
Both actors also shared that they strongly advocate live-in relationships before marriage. Pulkit revealed that they lived together for two years before tying the knot, while Kriti spoke about how they eventually found a home that belonged to both of them and built it together.
On the work front, Kriti Kharbanda was last seen in the web series Rana Naidu, which received a positive response and is streaming on Netflix. She will next be seen in Abir Sengupta’s Risky Romeo, co-starring Sunny Singh and Monica Chaudhary, which is currently in post-production.
