In a playful exchange during the Rat Race, host Karan Johar posed a cheeky question to Sidharth Malhotra, asking him about the three actresses he harbours a crush on. Sidharth promptly replied, “Katrina Kaif, Scarlett Johansson...” However, KJo seized the opportunity to tease Sidharth, playfully suggesting that he took quite some time to mention Katrina Kaif and remarked, “Very long it took you.... Katrina Kaif you are saying. Suddenly being politically correct and mentioning Vicky Kaushal's wife now.” Sidharth clarified, “No, but Kat, of course. I have told her. Baar Baar dekho.” This banter harked back to their collaboration in the 2016 film Baar Baar Dekho.

Varun Dhawan, reacting to Sidharth's response, chimed in, “No but Katrina Kaif, you can say, yaar. She is a beauty. And a lovely human being inside out.” Sidharth amusingly added, “That's why the crush. After knowing her.”

The Rat Race round may not have crowned a winner, but it undoubtedly left the audience in splits, showcasing the camaraderie and humour.
