However, in a surprising revelation on the latest episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8, Karan Johar shared that Yash ji's last cinematic experience was not with Jab Tak Hai Jaan but with the debut film of three budding superstars – Student Of The Year (SOTY).

Reflecting on this poignant memory, Karan shared during the show, “What is really special to me and ironical and beautiful is that Yash Chopra was here on the first day. He was there to bless all three of you and me and it’s actually the last film he saw. He saw it on the 9th of October and he was admitted to the hospital on the 12th and passed away subsequently. I remember the day he saw the film, he came and told me, ‘you have launched three stars’.”

This revelation added a poignant layer to the legacy of Yash Chopra, emphasizing his keen eye for talent and his presence during the inception of three stars who would go on to become prominent figures in the Indian film industry.
