Koffee With Karan Season 8 kicked off last month with the royal Bollywood couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, and its fourth episode aired on November 16 on Disney+ Hotstar. The show discussed two leading women in the industry, who are connected by family – Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The sisters-in-law had ample beans to spill on about their family, husband, and kids and while Kareena outperformed Alia during the rapid fire round, the latter had some interesting revelations to make.

During the Rapid Fire round, Karan Johar asked Alia Bhatt if she thinks Deepika Padukone is her competition and pat came her reply, “No, why would she be?” However, the actress went on to clarify and add, “She’s my senior. So, there is no competition”. Besides that, Karan also asked her a few questions asking her if she thinks she is the best actress in the industry to which Bhatt clearly maintained her stance, that ‘she strives to be best but doesn’t consider herself best’. She also asserted that there are many others who are great actors but refrained from taking names.

Interestingly, Karan also asked the co-guest Kareena Kapoor Khan about her considering Deepika Padukone as the competition but it was clearly dodged by the Jaane Jaan actress, as she maintained it as ‘question for Alia and not for her’.

Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan came together on the couch for the first time for this episode. While Kareena has been a part of all seasons, Alia became a part of it after making her Bollywood debut. As for their bond, for the unversed, Alia is married to Ranbir Kapoor, who is the cousin of Kareena Kapoor Khan. While Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have a daughter named Raha, Kareena is married to Saif Ali Khan and the couple have two sons, Taimur and Jeh.
