Kiara Advani on Govinda Naam Mera, “I surrendered to Shashank Khaitan’s vision” : Bollywood News

Bollywood actors Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar are currently making headlines for their recent release Govinda Naam Mera. Apart from the Shashank Khaitan directorial, Kiara headlines a couple of projects this year, including Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Jugjugg Jeeyo. Sharing her experience of working on these different projects, Kiara Advani called herself a “director’s actor”.

While talking to PTI, Kiara Advani stated, “We don’t make the film for ourselves but for the audience. We want them to love it and want each one of them to come out smiling, happy, and entertained. We just want you to watch it again and again. If a film has a repeat value, that’s the biggest gift ever.”

Speaking about Govinda Naam Mera releasing on the OTT platform, Advani stated, “Whether it’s a theatrical or digital release... Even while putting up the trailer, there are little butterflies about whether people will like it or not. The first verdict comes from there. The next two weeks are kind of chill. You are promoting, laughing, and remembering how amazing it was shooting together.” She further added, “I surrendered to filmmaker Shashank Khaitan’s vision for Govinda Naam Mera.”

Elaborating her point, the MS Dhoni star told, “As an actor, I’m always trying to understand my director's vision. Eventually, it’s this one person's vision. So, you have to be in sync with your director.”

Talking about Govinda Naam Mera, the suspense-comedy was released on Disney+ Hotstar on December 16 and was produced under the banner of Dharma Production.

Coming to the professional front, Kiara is recently wrapped shooting for an untitled Telugu film directed by S Shankar, co-starring Ram Charan. Apart from this, she will be seen alongside Kartik Aaryan in the romantic drama Satyaprem Ki Katha.
