Khan family continues to show trust in Pulkit : Bollywood News

With Dolly Ki Doli, Pulkit Samrat is pretty much completing his trilogy of films with Khan brothers. While he appeared in Sohail Khan's Jai Ho and had a couple of major scenes with Salman Khan, he was also roped in by Salman Khan for his presentation O Teri. Now with shooting of Arbaaz Khan's Dolly Ki Doli kick-starting early this week, Pulkit has found himself working with all the three Khans.

"Khans are making exciting films and it is humbling to know that they trust me to deliver. Now I have a responsibility to prove them right," says Pulkit who saw a major upswing in his career after delivering box office hit Fukrey last year.

While he has played a 'Dilliwala' in Fukrey and a simpleton from UP-Bihar belt in O Teri, it is going to be a North India small town setting again in Dolly Ki Doli. Says Pulkit, "Yes, the film is set in the North India belt though it has nothing to do with Fukrey, O Teri or even my debut film Bittoo Boss, which was again set in North. I have a very interesting part to play in the film; it has a great set up."

With Sonam Kapoor playing 'Dolly', Pulkit has another North Indian companion in the form of Rajkumarr Rao whose fortunes have shown an upswing too, especially post Talaash, Shahid and Queen.

Word in the town is that in this comic drama, Pulkit is playing a cop."Yeah, that's true, though I am playing a different kind of cop. He is nothing like the one you saw in Jai Ho," says Pulkit who has forever been addressed as a chocolate boy hero, ever since he began his acting sojourn with the small screen a few years back.

He is happy that his transition into films has been well accepted."I like to do films which my family can see. I like to be taken in the world that reminds me of the story narrations that my grandparents used to give me in the growing up years. When I hear a great story, I am taken into a different world and not get bothered if there is someone sitting next to me, "Pulkit adds in an animated tone.

No wonder, he had similar reactions when Arbaaz detailed to him the storyline of Dolly Ki Doli."My character is going to be a lot of fun. Khans have given me this opportunity; now I have to make something good for them too,"Pulkit signs off with a smile.
