Kay Kay Menon has become a specialized actor when it comes to playing men in uniform. He has done that again in the Amazon Prime Video web show Bambai Meri Jaan, which started streaming earlier this month. This time, his character of the cop Ismail Kadri is based in the 1960s and he is known for his strict action against the underworld. But he gets an unusual jolt when his own son Dara Kadri, played by Avinash Tiwary, becomes a gangster.

Menon is delighted with the response Bambai Meri Jaan and his performance is receiving. “I am humbled with the love and support from audiences for Bambai Meri Jaan. The 10-part Amazon original series premiered exclusively on Prime Video in India and across 240 countries and territories on 14 September. Produced by Excel Media and Entertainment’s Ritesh Sidhwani, Kassim Jagmagia, and Farhan Akhtar, with the story by S. Hussain Zaidi, Bambai Meri Jaan is created by Rensil D’Silva and Shujaat Saudagar and directed by Shujaat Saudagar.

Earlier this month, Menon was also seen in the movie Love All, which received largely positive reviews.
