Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan, longtime friends share a warm bond, and are riding high on the success of their latest release, Tiger 3, garnering praise and sparking conversations in the industry. Katrina Kaif, in a recent interview with Filmfare, the actress reflected on her 20-year journey in the Hindi film industry, shedding light on the evolving nature of her professional equation with Salman Khan.
Katrina highlighted the remarkable transformation in their professional dynamics over the years, stating, “The wonderful thing about Salman and my equation over the years as professionals is that it has evolved. When I started with him, I was a complete newcomer. He had done more than 50 plus films and this was my second film. So that has now evolved over the years, right?”
Speaking about her observations on set, Katrina shared how she noticed changes in dynamics among everyone involved. Regarding her co-star in Tiger 3, Salman Khan, she emphasized that their scenes now possess more spontaneity compared to earlier collaborations. She stated, “As an actor, I found my voice. I found my feet. I found my place and I saw the equation change on set. There was more ease. Now there’s more. We’re more spontaneous in the scenes. There’s more fluidity, there’s more of an exchange, and I think that’s one way in which our dynamic has changed throughout the years.”
Katrina Kaif also showered praises on Salman Khan's approach to acting, highlighting his unpredictability and ability to create a diverse energy on set. She remarked, “And with Salman, the way he is as a person, he does not come with fixed ideas. You have to be fluid in the scene and he’ll just surprise you and take it somewhere completely different. You have to be prepared for that. So if you come with a fixed notion and you're not movable, then you’re not going to find that synergy. You have to come with an open mind and you have to kind of feed off each other. I think with him, every day is unexpected.”
On the work front, Katrina Kaif is currently gearing up for the Sriram Raghavan’s unique thriller Merry Christmas, co-starring Vijay Sethupathi. Katrina is also expected to have signed Tiger Baby and Excel Productions’ Jee Le Zaraa, alongside Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra Jonas but the film’s status is yet to be determined.
